After receiving payment for your pallet of books, you can arrange to collect them from our office in Jos, Plateau State or pay for us to ship to a depot in your State. We only distribute donated books to educational institutions and projects based in Nigeria. The institution or project must either be registered with CAC or have a website or social media page where its mission can be seen and verified by the public. Finally, the institution or project must cover the distribution fee, agree not to sell any of the books and send us Impact Photos of all books carrying the Yellow Impact Sticker.
Our Team will be happy to have a video call with you and answer any questions about getting donated books, and show you around our warehouse and any available pallets of interest. You can also call us on +2349099663110 (including via WhatsApp) or +2349132773081 at anytime during working hours.
Books2Africa distributes a variety of books, including textbooks, fiction, non-fiction, reference books, and educational materials suitable for different age groups and educational levels. Our books are grouped into the 17 pallet categories. Each pallet has approximately 1,000 books, some slightly more or less.
Unfortunately, we cannot fulfil requests for specific titles as our books are categorised in pallets of approximately 1,000 books each to ensure efficient distribution. You can browse available pallets across our 17 pallet categories and view the list of books in each pallet by going to our inventory page https://books2africa.ng/inventory/
Unfortunately, we require all beneficiaries to raise funds and contribute ₦1,000,000 per pallet of books requested to help recover the costs we incur in importing, clearing and warehousing donated books. This distribution fee is reviewed periodically to stay in line with £500 per pallet. Beneficiaries with an approved request are sometimes offered a discount on the fee because a sponsor has donated funds towards their shipment of educational resources.
After selecting your pallets and submitting your request online, we verify it and approve or decline within 48 hours depending on whether you meet our eligibility criteria. If approved, you’ll then have 10 days to make payment. After payment, your books will be ready for collection from Jos immediately. If you require shipping to another State in Nigeria, this can take 3-5 working days to organise and ship (repackaging the pallet, booking a vehicle and transit time). If payment is not received within 10 days, your pallet reservation will expire, and the pallets will become available to other institutions and projects on our website.
Once a pallet of books has been dispatched to a beneficiary, we do not accept returns. However, we offer a refund of ₦500 per book for every book that arrives damaged as compensation. You will need to send us a photo of each damaged book and Impact Photos of all your yellow sticker books to receive a refund.
